StepⅠLead-in

Free talk:Have you ever travelled to any places in China?

               What did you do there?

Show pictures of Chinese gardensWindows of the World in Shenzhenhiking and so on,then ask students to describe them .

StepⅡPresentation

1.ask and answer in pairs according to the sentenses in PartA1 on Page34.

eg. S1:What doesn’t Millie like and what does she like?

   S2:She doesn’t like hot weather.She likes walking.

    2. Put a tick in the correct boxes in the table in PartA1 according to the content.

3.Have students make sentenses.

   eg. Millie likes to go hiking in Lushan Mountain.

4.Before-listening:

Ask students to read the table in PartA2 and explain it.

Organize students to discuss which activities they can do in diferent seasons.

5.While- listening

  Listen to the tape twice and get useful information from the listening material.

6.After-listening

check out the answer by playing the tape.

7 According to PartA1and A2 and complete the notes in PartA3 ,then check the answer and read it.

StepActivity

Make dialogues in pairs to talk about the places of interest and which activities they can do in diferent seasons.(One is a foreign,the other is a Chinese guide.)

eg. S1:Where did you go last summer?

   S2:I went to the beautiful seaside city Qingdao.

   S1:What did you do there?

   S2:I went sailing and swimming.It was wonderful.

StepⅣ Presentation

listen to the dialogue in PartB, and answer the question:

Where will Amy go?

Read after the tape, and answer the following questions:

Why has Amy’s father gone to Singapore?

How is Singapore?

How long does Amy want to stay there?

Read in pairs.

Make new dialogues in pairs and use Amy and Simon’s conversation as a model.

StepⅤ Homework

    1.Remember the words and sentenses.

2.Make the new dialogue according to the models.

 

 

 

 

 

这节课属于牛津初中英语Integrated Skills 中的听力教学模块,纵观整堂课,从学生的表现来看,我认为该堂课主要存在以下两个方面的问题:

学生的学习兴趣不高涨

《新课标》在“语言技能教学建议”部分对听前活动的建议是:明确听的目的,激发兴趣和欲望,熟悉话题,预测大意,处理关键词,布置任务。而本堂课在教学中并没有很好地激发学生的兴趣。

②听力内容受益面不广

对于大部分农村中学来说同一班级内学生英语水平差别相当大,有些听力材料有生词,句子长,加上录音中的连读,对某背景知识不了解等因素,都给听带来了障碍,很多学生听了2遍录音也未能完成表格,这种听前缺乏引导或引导强度不够的听力活动,不仅不能使本单元内容有很强的心理预测,而且会给很多学生的英语学习产生挫折感。

改进措施:

明确教学目标,注重教学效果

教师应依据《新课标》的理念分析教材各单元的教学目标并实施教学,针对各班的实际情况,激活学生听的动力和完成听力材料的欲望,让全体学生都参与进来,不要使一些英语基础差的同学还没开始听,就已望而却步了。

加强听前指导

学生的听力水平受诸多因素的影响,有些学生的知识面广,具有丰富的常识性知识与文化知识,这些知识可以有效地弥补学生语言知识和听力的不足,但也有相当多的知识需要教师加强听前指导。

加强听与说、读、写环节的联系

培养学生的综合语言运用能力的一个重要理念就是听力教学与读、 说、 写等教学环节的紧密结合。提高听力的同时为学生说和写能力的提高奠定基础,因此教师要充分利用听力环节,提高学生听力技巧的同时,提高学生的说写能力。
